The park ranger of the national park.  He and his brother Robbie own the house he lives in, "Willow Tree", which has been in their family for 3 generations. When Ian moved back to Wandin Valley, Claire moved in with him - a stuff up with the real estate agent - she had been led to believe the house was hers - and Danny also moved in after Claire had told him there was a spare room at the house. After Claire left, Jess moved into that room vacated by her.  Ian is also a good singer - Paul Gleeson sang and wrote the 2 songs he played on the show.  He shares office space with Jess.  He originally had a crush on Claire but by the end of the year he was dating Georgie's mother, Sarah. Ian had a pet dog named Kane (who is also dog in the Daewoo ads!) - Kane was on the farm when Ian returned there to live in late 1993.
